Privacy & Data

Overview

ForgeKit does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.

Your code, your projects, and your environment stay entirely on your machine, where they belong.

No telemetry

ForgeKit does not track anything:

  • No usage analytics
  • No behavior tracking
  • No background data collection
  • No hidden network requests

What you do with ForgeKit is never monitored or recorded.

No accounts

ForgeKit does not require:

  • Registration
  • Login
  • User profiles

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to manage. You download it and use it.

Fully local

Everything runs locally on your machine:

  • Your projects
  • Your configurations
  • Your databases
  • Your servers

There is no cloud sync, no remote storage, and no external dependency.

Works offline

ForgeKit works completely offline.

Once installed, it does not require an internet connection to run your development environment.

No automatic network activity

ForgeKit does not make automatic network requests.

It will only access the internet when you explicitly ask it to:

  • Downloading binaries
  • Checking for updates (via the update button)

There are no background update checks and no silent connections.

If you don't click anything, nothing happens.

What ForgeKit connects to (when you ask it to)

When you trigger certain actions, ForgeKit may connect to:

  • Official binary sources (to download PHP, Apache, MySQL, etc.)\
  • ForgeKit update endpoint (only when manually checking for updates)

That's it. No other communication happens.

Philosophy

ForgeKit is built on a simple idea:

It's your machine.

No accounts. No tracking. No hidden behavior.

Just a tool that runs locally and does exactly what you tell it to.
